In a new twist, Skate to Care is in a different spot at a different time of the year.
This is the 28th year for the event and this year it’s at the qplex.
Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation President Jeff McAloon says doesn’t believe the changes will hurt the event.
He says whether it’s in Saint John or Quispamsis or in April or November more and more people are saying how can we make a difference in mental health care.
Following the event, Premier Gallant will be on hand for a fundraising announcement which might be the largest private investment in mental health care in the province.
Skate to Care runs from 10am to 2pm at the qplex.
