We’ve been waiting for this – it was only a matter of time.
Environment Canada isuing a rainfall warning for St. Stephen and Charlotte County, as well as the rest of Southern New Brunswick.
Meteorologist Claude Cote says as of 10am this morning, St. Stephen had already received about 12-15mms of rain, while Grand Manan had over 20 mms.
He says they are monitoring a a low pressure system, currently over the New England states, which will move over New Brunswick tonight. He says in St. Stephen, we can expect 30-40 mms of rain by midnight.
Grand Manan is getting hit harder than the mainland as the radar is showing more trecherous conditions.
Cote adds that more rain is on the way for Thursday, however that system doesn’t seem as strong.
