Conservative MP for Saint John Rodney Weston tells us there’s something in the Harper Government’s budget for everyone.
Weston says the budget will benefit seniors, and one of the measures he points to is the reduction in the minimum withdrawal factors for Registered Retirement Income Funds. And for families, he points to the introduction of the Family Tax Cut and the $1000 increase in the maximum dollar amounts that can be claimed under the Child Care Expense Deduction.
He says we should start to better understand how the budget will impact us locally here in Saint John as certain segments of the budget roll out in the coming weeks.
Weston says it’s exciting that we’ve returned to balanced budgets.
