Premier Brian Gallant is extolling the fact more than half of the public appointments made to agencies, boards and commissions by his government over the past six months have been women.
The overall representation of women on agencies, boards and commissions appointed by successive provincial governments has been around 30 per cent for the last 20 years.
The Premier says of the 57 members of publicly appointed agencies, boards and commissions named over the last six months, 31 of the appointees have been women.
