The search is over for a 25 year old man who was swept into the sea yesterday at Nova Scotia’s famous tourist site, Peggy’s Cove.
Police say he was swept into the ocean by a large wave while standing on the rocks.
Members of the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre and the Coast Guard searched the water surrounding the iconic lighthouse for several hours Wednesday afternoon before calling off the search around 6pm.
An RCMP dive team will resume the search when it’s safe and the water is more calm.
Investigators say the man was from Ontario.
