Development in the city is slow but not dead according to Common Councillor Bill Farren even though the proposed Energy East pipeline project has been delayed a year.
He points tto the proposed potash expansion at the port which could begin this October if all goes according to schedule and the recently announced barge terminal in Lorneville.
Meanwhile, the provincial government is asking Common Council for the go ahead to carry out soil testing on city owned land next to Havelock School on the west side as a possible location for a new school to replace Havelock, Seawood and St. Patrick’s.
