He is well known from his many attempts to seek political office in Saint John.
John Campbell wants to see the vacant City manager position be filled as a contract position by someone from outside the city.
Campbell says the city manager should not be focusing on economic development but roads, water and recreation.
He says that will all ad to the quality of life for the people of Saint John and be an extra attraction for the businesses that want to come here.
Campbell posted an ad on Kijiji citing his wishlist for the new City manager which he tells was was not received well by a couple members of council.
