The Fundy Regional Service Commission deciding to hold off on curbside recycling and maintain status quo.
Repairs will be made to the blue recycling bins for the next few years until curbside recycling can be looked at in more detail.
General Manager of Fundy Region Solid Waste Marc Macleod says the goal is to keep the blue bins operational until a point where curbside recycling is put into place.
The upgrades to the blue bins will cost roughly a quarter of a million dollars each year.
Macleod says the cost of curbside recycling would be two million dollars annually.
Reports show it should be looked at again in 2020.
