Horizon Health responding to the claim by the Canadian Union of Public Employees that the hours at the St. Joseph’s Hospital Urgent Care department are being cut starting at the beginning of next month.
CUPE Local 1252 Coordinator Ralph McBride has said that it was brought to their attention that the service would be cut by four hours.
A statement from Horizon says there are no plans in place to reduce the hours of operation at the centre and it will continue to operate as usual from 9am to 8pm seven days a week.
