The Conservative MP for Fredericton is returning to work and plans to run again in the upcoming federal election.
After a long bout with health issues, first a heart attack and then a diagnosis of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Keith Ashfield says he recently received good news.
“I had a CAT scan about two weeks ago that showed no sign of any cancer… they say that I am now in remission.”
He says during his treatments he received a lot of support from his community, including friends, family, doctors and constituents.
Ashfield says he has a renewed sense of determination and is ready to return to doing what he loves best.
