Opposition is building against the Gallant government’s decision to take away funding from childcare centres.
Rallies were held across the province over the weekend, as they hope to make their voice heard.
Lise Maillet is the Provincial President of Early Childhood Care and Education New Brunswick.
She says the government must consult with ECCENB, because reduced funding means costs will have to be downloaded to parents.
Maillet says they’ve begun an open dialogue with the government.
They met with Minister Serge Rouselle on Friday, with the hopes that would open up communication. They are now waiting to hear back from him sometime this week.
