Police have charged a 24-year-old Moncton man, with several sex offences, and New Brunswick RCMP are seeking the help of the public to identify victims who were sexually exploited online. The man’s identity cannot be released due to a publication ban.
Members of the RCMP Internet Child Exploitaiton Unit say the possible victims are between the ages of 10 and 16, and may not be aware they were being victimized. Boys were lured online by a man pretending to be a teenaged girl.
A man used several website including Facebook, and Skype to connect with his victims, and may have been sexually exploiting victims from at least January 2012 until the fall of 2014.
RCMP say there could be as many as 2000 victims in Canada, US, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia and Russia and possibly elsewhere.

RCMP began investigating this case in New Brunswick in the fall of 2014 as the result of information uncovered by York Regional Police during an investigation entitled Project Hydra.
