If the NDP can win a provincial election in Alberta then it should not be surprising that former Conservative Finance Minister Blaine Higgs and provincial Green Party leader David Coon can agree on something.
They’re both critical of the provincial government about the 2.4 million dollar cut for private daycares.
Higgs says a lot of people are getting stressed out, parents by the financial uncertainty with the prospect of fees rising and the people who work at daycares about whether they’re going to have a job or not.
Coon says he also wonders about single moms who are just scrapping by and what happens to their childcare needs if daycare fees are raised.
