A diagnosis of leukemia at the age of 22 leading Geoff Eaton to found Young Adult Cancer Canada.
Eaton tells CHSJ News he collapsed at a party, got his diagnosis two days later and went through chemo, a bone marrow transplant and a month on life support.
He says 18 months after diagnosis he says he learned a lot including the gap in services for young adults dealing with cancer.
Young Adult Cancer Canada has a primary fundraiser called Shave for the Brave.
They have an event in Saint John at the King Street branch of the Bayview Credit Union tomorrow at noon.
