Northern New Brunswick is viewed as a fortress for Premier Brian Gallant and his Liberal Government, at least judging from the election results from last fall.
The Conservative M-L-A for Fredericton York, Kirk MacDonald is suggesting that could be changing with seniors from that part of the province speaking out against the policy of requiring the wealtheir among them to pay more for their nursing home care.
The Premier, meantime, argues the policy of requiring wealthier seniors to pay more for their nursing home care is fair and progressive because those seniors getting by on less will pay less for their care.
