Casino New Brunswick is being sold.
Great Canadian Gaming, based in Richmond, British Columbia is buying the gaming facility, hotel, entertainment and convention centre from Sonco Gaming New Brunswick for $95 million.
In a news release, Great Canadian Gamings President and CEO Rod Baker says they are looking forward to the potential of working with the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation, the Department of Public Safety Gaming Control and the City of Moncton, and they are extremely excited at the prospect of welcoming Casino NB and its over 400 employees to the Great Canadian team.
Sonco Gaming New Brunswick opened Casino NB in May of 2010. $38 million in revenues was generated by the gaming facility in 2014.
The purchase and sale of Casino NB remains subject to the consent of the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation and required regulatory approvals. The closing is expected to occur in the fall of 2015.
