The Atlantic Provinces Economic council releasing a report that shows the economy in Atlantic Canada continues to struggle with lost jobs and low growth.
It reports 7,000 jobs were lost this past year, one quarter of which were full-time.
Retail sales in the region dropped by 1.4%, although New Brunswick enjoyed the highest growth in retail sales of all atlantic provinces.
Housing starts forecasted to decline by 4% this year, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing.
