Ashley Fox, a nurse on the psychiatric unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital, testifying at the inquest about one of the male patients seen with Serena Perry on the night of her death.
She told the jury he had “cold eyes” and that he had a history of witchcraft and animal sacrifice, saying he gave her a bad gut feeling.
Testimony revealing that on February 14, 2012, the night Perry died, that patient had on a blue housecoat when they went out together for a smoke but wasn’t wearing it when he came back.
Another nurse, Amy Flint, says she askedĀ him about Perry and he said she was downstairs, adding “my gut feeling was he said it in a strange way.”
Even though there’s a logged return time for Perry on the sign in/sign out sheet for 10:40 at night, she never came back.
