One rally has been held already by people in Chipman to protest plans to remove one of their ambulances and now another protest is planned for the Legislature at the end of the month.
The Conservative M-L-A for Fredericton-Grand Lake Pam Lynch says they won’t be mollified by empty words from Health Minister Victor Boudreau.
Chipman Mayor Ed Farris is calling it a dangerous situation. Lesa McInnis, who lives in Chipman, says her husband, who suffered a heart attack in the kitchen of their home, would have died if the ambulance wasn’t nearby to respond.
There are fears that what’s happening in Chipman will also take place at other communities in the province.
