The City is looking much brighter thanks to the Marigold Mural Painting Project.
150 volunteers spent 11 hours yesterday helping paint the mural in the North end.
Founder of the Marigold Project Barry Odgen says the mural itself is 300 feet long and 4 feet high and it was originally painted by 300 high school students in 1999, but faded mostly due to winter conditions.
Now in it’s 18th year, Marigolds on Main Street has blossomed into the Marigold Project, with over 7,000 children participating in the planting of Marigolds this year in locations between Sussex and St. Stephen.
