A petition has been circulated against a controversial rezoning application to Highway Commercial on Elliot Road in Quispamsis but despite that, Town Council has given approval in principle.
Homestar, owned by Mark Hatfield, wants a 2 thousand foot expansion to his existing building at 11 Elliot Road. The two thousand foot expamsion includes two stories to match the existing building with 900 feet of the expansion encroaching on 15 Elliot Road.
The Planning Advisory Committee is recommending town council give approval in principle with the stipulation 12 parking spaces be added.
