Still no word this morning on what caused a large fire in Cap-Pele.
Five fire departments were called in to assist when the fire broke out at Cormier Brothers Fisheries at around 8am yesterday morning.
Cap-Pele Fire Chief Ronald Cormier says two smoke houses and the processing plant were destroyed.
He says one of the challenges for firefighters was when the wind shifted and flames spread to the other buildings.
Several employees were at the business when the fire broke out, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters were on the scene for most of the day.
The Fire Marshall is still trying to determine the cause , but the Fire Chief says it didn’t appear to be anything suspicious.
