Under the New Horizons for Seniors Program, the McAdam Railway Station wants to help seniors stay young in a creative way.
MP for Southwest New Brunswick, John Williamson announcing $25,000 for the historic facility.
McAdam Mayor Frank Carroll says they are developing a new seniors program in the Village. “We are going to train seniors to remain young by being tour guides and providing programs for visitors who come to the railway station.”
Carroll says seniors will volunteer their time, providing things like skits and stories.
He says this will allow them to become more active along with promoting the history of the building.
