Danny Flynn, the former head coach of the Moncton Wildcats for six seasons, will be taking over the helm with the Saint John Sea Dogs after signing a three year contract.
Flynn brings with him years of coaching experience with young players in not only the “Q” but with the national junior team and at university. He says coaching young players is 25 per cent teaching and 75 per cent persuading them to buy into your ideas.
Flynn was named coach of the year in the “Q” in 2009. He coached the Wildcats to the 2010 President Cup title and St. F-X to the 2004 Cavendish Cup as Canadian university champions.
Flynn says he wants the Sea Dogs to play a pro style game.
