Hockey Canada announcing the town of Quispamsis will host the 2016 Telus Cup.
Al Coates of Hockey Canada says a lot of factors were involved in choosing Quispamsis including the Qplex, the location, the host team and the history of hockey in the greater Saint John region.
The Saint John Vito’s will be the host club for the six-team event.
The gold medal game will be televised across the country on TSN and RDS.
Many NHLers have played in the tournament, including Sidney Crosby, Steve Yzerman and New Brunswickers Don Sweeney and Randy Jones.
