Research dollars can be hard to come by but three local medical projects will receive funds from the Chesley Research grants of up to 25 thousand dollars each.
Medical professionals find themselves under increasing pressure these days and burnout can happen if you work in the Emergency Department. Dr. JoAnn Talbot and Dr. Mark Howlett will study how best to avoid that from happening. He describes the E-R as working in an atmosphere of organised chaos.
Another project will look at the effect of obesity among heart patients in how they fare after their operations and what can be done to improve the post operative outcomes.
