A lightning strike has caused a transmission outage in the greater Fredericton area leaving more than 6000 NB Power customers off the grid.
NB Power says that crews are on their way.
There are also over 2500 people and businesses impact by outages in the St. Stephen cluster.
Over 11,000 are without power provincewide.
