Mental health treatment for young people in the province is deficient according to Green Party leader David Coon. He says only one in four young people who need help actually get it which means 75 per cent do without.
He also argues there should be public funding for psychotherapy which isn`t the case right now.
There is an action plan in place for mental health and Provincial Health Minister Victor Boudreau maintains the government is fully committed to its implmentation but it won’t be done overnight.
