The residents of Browns Flat continue to fight to save their elementary school from closure with the community submitting a presentation and petition of signatures to the provincial Education Minister. That’s according to resident Phil Kennedy who tells us Policy 409 was not followed appropriately in this case.
Kennedy says they created the document in cooperation with a lawyer. In late April the Anglophone South District Education Council voted to close the elementary school in Browns Flat.
