It’s part of the Marigold Project which is marking 18 years.
Founder Barry Ogden says the kids that take part learn to respect the community and themselves. Ogden telling us this doesn’t just beautify the city, it empowers children, saying if we can empower our children then that is true learning.
This is the Marigold Project’s largest planting event to date with over 7000 students planting marigolds in 50 locations between Sussex and St. Stephen.
Back in 2013 the Marigold Project earned a spot in the Guinness World Records for the number of people planting flowers at the same time.
