Saint John will be celebrating each of the provinces and territories in the days leading up to our nation’s birthday which, this year, is themed “Coast to Coast”.
Chair of the Canada Day committee Heather Peterson tells us we all make up the nation. She says as the oldest incorporated city in Canada it’s important for us to be the ones that step up.
The pre-Canada Day celebrations kick off on June 19, which is the day that Alberta will be celebrated, and are being held every day until the big day itself on July 1st which is jam-packed with activities like the Canada Day People Parade, the Mayor’s Cup Skateboard Challenge, and of course the fireworks.
