The one year anniversary of the tragic deaths of three RCMP officers concluded with a special commemorative RCMP Musical Ride at the Magnetic Hill concert site.
Thousands of Monctonians came out to the site yesterday all dressed in red to pay their respects to the families of the fallen officers, as well as to engage in the healing process themselves.
United in red, the residents started off subdued but became more jubilant and energetic as the evening progressed with a terrific show put on by the 32 horses and riders of the RCMP Musical Ride.
As the evening wound down, it was clear the public enjoyed the spectacle, which helped take some of the sting away from what is still a raw and painful date for all Monctonians.
