The NB Children’s Foundation presenting a $50,000 cheque to the YMCA today for the final payment of a $200,000 contribution.
Shilo Boucher is the President and CEO of the YMCA of greater Saint John, she says they found a way of saying thanks by naming the family change room at the new facility The NB Children’s Foundation Family Change Room.
Boucher says their campaign goal of $7 million dollars was exceeded by $2 million dollars.
She hopes the new YMCA facility will be open by September.
Blair McDonald, Board Member of the NB Children’s Foundation says he was happy to help the YMCA because it has a lot of programs for kids, even if they can’t afford to pay the costs.
