The American broadcaster of the FIFA Women’s World Cup has made Moncton out to be much bigger than it really is.
FOX Sports anchors spoke about Moncton’s skyline when what appeared on screen was actually the sprawling skycrapers of Vancouver.
Moncton spokesperson Isabelle LeBlanc says city staffers were quite amused by the Hub City’s sudden transformation.
“Someone joked here at the office to say that the downtown incentive plan has really worked.”
FOX Sports apparently never corrected the error on-air.
