Tampa Bay almost tied the game in the final minute of regulation time but Chicago hung on for a 2-1 win to tie up the Stanley Cup final at 2 games each. Brandon Saad scored the winner with 13:38 to play. Lightning goalie Ben Bishop did not play because of a lower body injury. Game five goes Saturday night in Tampa.
The future of the Arizona Coyotes in Arizona is now in doubt as Glendale City Council has voted to end the 15 year arena lease agreement with the team.
In the Majors, the Blue Jays won their 8th in a row, 7-2 over Miami on the strength of 4 homers……The Yankees lost to Washington 5-4 in 11 innings and also lost one of their big closers, Andrew Miller with a forearm strain…..The Red Sox lost again to Baltimore 5-2 as Adam Jones made two spectacular catches and threw out a runner at home.
In the late games out west, it was Oakland with a 5-4 walkoff win over Texas and the Los Angeles Dodgers also had a walkoff win, 7-6 over Arizona.
