A dramatic scene in Fredericton last night after a call regarding an emotionally disturbed woman.
Police responding to a panic alarm from the Needs store on Brookside Drive learned a 43 year old woman was walking to the Brookside mall.
Officers found the woman in the Sobey’s parking lot and she seemed to have something that looked like a weapon.
Police set up a perimeter and after a short period of negotiation were able to take her into custody.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for examination and evalulation.
Charges are not expected.
