New Brunswick has lost in the neighbourhood of $4-million investing in British online lottery game, GeoSweep, and the provincial NDP wants to get to the bottom of how it happened.
Recently, the Atlantic Lottery Corporation revealed it would be writing off the more than $8-million investment in Geonomics Global Games, the company behind the game which failed to catch on in Britain.
Dominic Cardy says they are calling for an investigation and has a few questions he’d like answered, including what due diligence did ALC take to investigate viability of the company and profitability of its sales model. He also wants to know who was involved in making the decisions.
