A family of four is homeless after a fire yesterday gutted their home and an attached woodworking business and sawmill in the Kelly Creek area near Fredericton.
The couple and their two children, ages 5 and 10, are staying with relatives for the time being. The Canadian Red Cross is assisting them with emergency purchases such as clothing and food.
The fire took several hours to put out due to high winds and the amount of lumber and sawdust at the scene.
