New Brunswick’s latest millionaire picked up his cheque today at ALC Headquarters in downtown Moncton.
Adelard Hebert, who has been retired for more than 8 years, discovered he was the winner of a one million dollar prize after checking his June 5th Lotto ticket last week.
Hebert was asked if he was going to continue buying lotto tickets.
“Yes, if you don’t buy the ticket, you’re not going to win, that’s my philosophy,” says Hebert.
Hebert and his wife of 46 years, Maria, say they have plans for the winnings.
“Well I already bought a trailer and I think I’m going to trade my truck,” says Hebert.
Maria says they will also be doing some renovations around the house including a new two car garage for their new vehicles.
ALC also took the opprortunity to announce starting July 17th, the Lotto Max Jackpot will be increasing to 60 million dollars.
