Funding for the expansion of the water reservoir in Riverside-Albert was announced today.
The 1.4 million dollar project will increase the community’s water storage capacity and ensure a safe and reliable water supply for residents.
That’s according to Memramcook-Tantramar MLA Bernard LeBlanc.
The project involves the construction of a water tower and water transmission pipe, all connected to the existing water treatment plant.
It will give the village the ability to properly flush the water distribution system and provide and additional source of water for fire protection and other demands in the community.
The money for the project came from the Small Communities Fund.
