Bruce Dowd is angry but he doesn’t want his money back.
Dowd contributed 200 thousand dollars to the Regional Hospital’s big fundraising effort, “The Give”.
When the provincial government decided to cancel the purchase of genetic sequencing equipment, Dowd was quoted as saying he wanted a refund but says that’s not the case even though he’s still not happy about what the government is doing.
Dowd says it’s not as if it will cost the government any money which is why he’s baffled by the stance that has been taken and adds cancer treatment will be better.
