An investigation by Codiac RCMP concluded the two bodies found earlier this week were the result of a murder suicide.
Police were called to a home on Purdy Avenue shortly after 11 this Wednesday.
Officers say the 54 year old Moncton man and 40 year old woman from Petitcodiac were known to each other.
Any further information, including the names or the circumstances surrounding their death will not be made public.
