The town of Rothesay has announced it’s participation in the Nuisance Deer Management Program for next year.
The purpose of the program is to lower the amount of deer in Rothesay, Quispamsis and Hampton.
It will allow people with special permits to hunt on personal property, as long as the owner has granted permission.
Rothesay Mayor Bill Bishop says the need to reduce the number of deer is obvious.
Bishop says he was more then happy to enroll Rothesay in the program.
