The Town of Sackville has been forced to close several roads today due to heavy rainfall..
That includes parts of Route 106, St. James Street and Dufferin Street.
Senior Manager for Corporate Projects Jamie Burke says they are watching the roads closely, and will be keeping motorists up to date through their social media sites.
Burke says unfortunately they have several areas in their community that are prone to flooding, and they are trying to work with the provnical govenrment to get funding to make the necessary infrastructure improvements.
In the meantime, motorists and residents are being asked to avoid flooded areas in the community.
The Town of Sackville has had roughly 130 millimetres of rain over the past 24 hours, from the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill.
