NB Power, which is asking the Energy and Utilities Board for a rate increase, made 73 million dollars last year. It’s the fifth year in a row of posting a profit.
The utility also reporting it finished the year with more than 200 fewer full-time positions than in 2010.
More than 100 million dollars in debt was paid off and NB Power says its goal is to pay down one billion dollars of debt by 2021.
