It is now easier for you to search for a retirement home that meets your specific needs.
Pearl’s Choice is a website that reviews and lists retirement homes by their amenities.
President Bojana Nedic says they held focus groups and interviews to find out what would have helped people in their search.
“So what we’ve implemented is actually a ratings and reviews ability in our website so you’re actually able to rate and review particular homes based on food, rooms, cleanliness and quality of care as well as overall experience,” says Nedic.
Chief Business Development Officer Ian Lenihan says they allow individuals to search by unique needs and wants, whether it’s a hot tub, assisted living, or medication management.
“And we’re enabling individuals to search through every home within the area that they’re interested in and which homes are offering the services that are important to them,” says Lenihan. “And we are able to take that information and bring it back to the homes and show homes what Canadians are looking for inside the homes, and what is important to them and what the majority of people are searching for.”
Lenihan says says searches can accommodate unique needs like hot tubs, medication management, tray service or even assisted living.
