Mark Dupuis of Saint John received a very exciting phone call on Thursday afternoon from David Savoie of the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation.
Dupuis was informed he was the big winner of the Hand in Hand Dream Lottery’s 1 of 3 Grand Dream Prizes with ticket number 017884.
The draw was made at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30 at the Dream Home in Dieppe.
Dupuis had a choice between 1 of 3 Grand Dream Prizes:
-A fully furnished Martell Dream Home with an Audi Q3 and $100,000 cash OR
-A Martell Dream Home built in the greater Moncton area with a Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe 3LT and $150,000 cash OR
-$700,000 Tax Free Cash
When lottery officials reached Dupuis by phone to tell him that he was the winner, his first response was “no way” followed by a chuckle.
Dupuis chose the cash option.
The 50/50 Jackpot winner is April Caissie from Colpitts Settlement, NB, with ticket number 189010 and she takes $197,205 of the 50/50 Jackpot of $394,410.
Caissie purchased the ticket for her husband’s 50th birthday and her first response was “No! Are you being serious?”.
Incidently, Caissie’s son is getting married this weekend.
The Hand in Hand Dream Lottery is a major fundraiser for the Georges Dumont and Moncton Hospital Foundations.
