The Canadian Taxpayers Federation has mixed feeling over the election of Justin Trudeau and a Liberal majority.
Atlantic Director Kevin Lacey says people wanted a change but they don’t want higher taxes and higher spending and that is the CTF’s concern.
Lacey does say they expect promised large investments in infrastructure could improve the region’s economy.
He says it could go to into improving public services that we need providing the money actually goes to things we actually needs and not just political pork like we have seen in the past.
Lacey says improving roads and transportation in the region would allow us to take advantage of projects of opportunities like Energy East.
