The Canadian Taxpayers Federation says the defeated M-P’s in Monday’s election will fare quite nicely according to its numbers.
The Federation’s Atlantic Director Keven Lacey says the pensions over their lifetimes will cost over 200 million dollars and severances will amount to just more than 12 million.
The Taxpayers Federation reports Rob Moore of Fundy-Royal will receive severance of more than 113 thousand dollars and an annual pension of 63 thousand dollars at age 55.
Rodney Weston of Saint John-Rothesay receives severance of over 89 thousand dollars and a pension in excess of 35 thousand dollars yearly.
John Williamson of New Brunswick Southwest doesn’t get a pension but will receive more than 83 thousand dollars in severance.
