New Brunswickers are drinking more these days according to the numbers released by NB Liquor for the quarter that ended Sept. 27th.
Total sales almost reached 119 million dollars, 6.3 per cent higher than for the same quarter a year earlier.
Net earnings came to $51.5 million for the quarter, 6.3 per cent higher than last year.
Wine sales grew by 4.6 per cent, up $1 million…..Hard liquor sales were up by 3.6 per cent or $900,000……Beer sales grew by 4.6 per cent, up $2.7 million and other beverages increased 31.6 per cent, up $2.4 million.
